IHC Hydrohammer, unique and universal

The hydraulically operated IHC Hydrohammer® is unique because of its
combination of a solid one-piece ram (including pistonnes rod) and a
fully enclosed hammer housing. The result is an elegant yet extremely
robust, tireless and reliable hammer.
Hydrohammer® benefits:
Modular structure:
extremely low risk of breakdown
Easy-to-use control system:
guarantees operational reliability
Straightforward maintenance & repair:
long service life and continuity guarantee
Operates at temperatures between -20C en +50C:
multifunctional in different climates
No waste gases or oil splashes:
environmentally friendly
oil-lubricated bearings:
long service life
Adjustable blow rate:
avoid resonance vibration in surrounding built-up area
The Hydrohammer® is available in two series: the S-series and the
SC-series, which are suitable for steel, concrete and wooden piles.
S-Series
The ram of the S-series receives a greater part of its energy from
acceleration by the gas buffer than that of the SC-series. This makes
the S-series models ideal for sinking steel piles, H-beams and offshore
piles.
SC-series
The SC-series is better suited to sinking concrete piles that are
susceptible to tensile stresses because of their relatively heavy
weight. This hammer is also a better choice if a universal hammer is
required for different types of piling.
The maximum impact velocity at which the ram of the SC-series strikes
the anvilplate is very much lower than that of the S-series, while the
masses of the rams are greater. The SC-hammers are consequently heavier
and more compact than the S-hammers.
